EMBRYO AVAILABILITY STATISTICS
The head of the nation's largest association of Christian doctors commented on a report that over 400,000 human embryos remain frozen in U.S. fertility clinics. Eighty-seven percent of these embryos have been kept reserved for ongoing attempts to have a baby.

" This report reveals the tragedy that clinics are freezing many more human embryos than they ever intend to implant in mothers," Stevens noted. "This practice is unethical and diminishes the inestimable value of these precious, young human lives. Remember that each and every one of us began our lives as a human embryo."

Stevens added, "At the same time, this report also offers hope for parents who are waiting to adopt embryos just like these so that they, too, can bring a new life into the world to nurture
and love."
